In this section of WRIT 102, students will use an inquiry-based approach to generate questions, explore, and challenge preexisting ideas about topics that are of interest to them using texts, videos, and audio productions from a list of approved resources found within our course’s textbook, which is an Open Education Resource (OER). OER are free resources, thus there are no additional textbooks to purchase within this class. Students will also learn how to evaluate and integrate credible sources within their writing, establish reasonable arguments, and find resources using the UM Library Database.
